Following the success of “FIR” on SAB TV, “Madam Sir” is a similarly themed series set in the backdrops of an all-women police station in “Mughal Fort” that is on the verge of closing due to lack of FIRs. The tile “Madam Sir” is a reflection of how police officials address their female superiors. The pilot of the series was aired on 24th February 2020. The plot revolves around the daily struggles the staff undertakes in order to keep the police station open, which is already elbows deep in debt from the local shopkeepers who keep on popping for non-payment of dues from time to time for some hilarious exchanges between the cast.The lead cast includes Gulki Joshi in the role of S.H.O Hasina Malik, Yukti Kapoor as Sub Inspector Karishma Singh, Sonali Naik as the head constable Pushpa Singh, who was last seen in a series on Colors’. Bhavika Sharma essayed the role of constable Santosh Sharma and Gaurav Wadhwa as Sunny Chadhdha who is a news reporter.Madam Sir is a faithful attempt to stick to the genre and showcasing how women are able to effortlessly handle both their domestic and professional responsibilities. With episodic plots, guest casting will be crucial to turn the story out well.
